PT Malindo Food Delight (MFD), a processed food producer, on Tuesday 10 November 2020 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with importer Sariraya Co. Ltd for the export of processed food to Japan in 2021. This was done at the 2020 Trade Expo Indonesia which was held virtually by the Indonesian Ministry of Trade in Jakarta and opened by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
The signing of the MoU was carried out by Teguh Wahyudi, from Sariraya Co. Ltd and Rewin Hanrahan from PT Malindo Food Delight with an export value of USD 200,000.
“The signing of this memorandum of understanding shows that processed food products with the Sunny Gold brand produced by PT Malindo Food Delight have received a good response from the Japanese community, especially the Moslem community there,” said Rewin, Director of PT Malindo Food Delight.
Malindo’s first export to Japan was carried out on September 1, 2020 with four types of products, namely SunnyGold Chicken Nugget, SunnyGold Chicken Tempura, SunnyGold Chicken Karage Black Pepper and SunnyGold Chicken Spicy Karaage. “Approximately two months after our first export, we made an MoU for our export target to Japan in 2021. Hopefully this will be a good start for the acceptance of our products in the international market and hopefully we can export to other countries soon, “added Rewin.
