One of the prestigious and largest exhibition events in Japan, FOODEX 2021, has just been held. This exhibition will be held on March 9-12, 2021 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan. PT Malindo Food Delight with SunnyGold products also enlivened this grand exhibition by joining Paviliyun Indonesia.

According to Rewin Hanrahan, Director of PT Malindo Food Delight, the participation of SunnyGold in Foodex Japan 2021 is one of Malindo’s strategies to further introduce its products to Japanese consumers and other people there. We want SunnyGold to be more widely known and become the main choice for the food and protein needs of people in Japan. SunnyGold is a processed food product that is produced using modern machines, quality raw materials, delicious taste and of course halal will be increasingly in demand. “We first exported to Japan on September 1, 2020 and with a very good response, the next shipment was made in February 2021,” he explained.

In the Foodex Japan 2021 exhibition, visitors’ interest in SunnyGold’s spicy taste was enormous. “It seems that in Japan there is a trend for spicy food like in Indonesia,” said Rewin. He added that SunnyGold which is currently being exported to Japan is spicy karage, tempura, nuget and karage black pepper.

The Foodex Japan 2021 exhibition this year is the 46th. The Indonesian Ambassador to Japan, Heri Akhmadi, who inaugurated the Indonesian Pavilion in this exhibition hopes that food and beverages from Indonesia can enter the Japanese market through Foodex Japan 2021. 60% of Japan’s need for food is imports. Indonesia must be able to fill this large market.
